THE
ROW

Worlds_Toughest_Row_Pacific_2024_map-1024x493.webp
  •  Distance: 2,800 nautical miles from California - Hawaii

  •  Duration: The average team takes 62 days at sea

  •  Rowing shifts: 2 hours on, 2 hours off — 24 hours a day

  • Crew: 4-person team, self-sufficient and unsupported

Each boat carries everything needed for survival, from food and navigation gear to a tiny cabin for shelter. There’s no resupply, no safety net, and no shortcuts. Just determination, teamwork, and faith.

When words aren’t enough to make the world listen, sometimes you have to do something extraordinary.

In June 2027, the Rowing 4 Rare team will launch an unprecedented challenge. Competing in the World’s Toughest Row. Teams will face relentless waves, isolation, and exhaustion, rowing 24 hours a day for over a month,  powered only by grit, teamwork, and purpose.

This isn’t just an endurance challenge. It’s a global megaphone for rare disease awareness. As we row across one of the world’s most unforgiving oceans, we’re carrying the stories, strength, and hopes of families living with rare diseases. Each stroke represents progress toward a future of better treatments, advanced research, and a world that sees and supports those who are rare.

Why We Row

We’re rowing to raise both awareness and funding for the advancement of progressive research and gene therapies targeting rare diseases. Especially those involving vascular anomalies. Every dollar raised will help accelerate innovative medical work that has the power to change lives.

This row is not about proving how tough we are. It’s about showing how powerful hope can be when fueled by purpose. The ocean is our stage, and every mile we conquer is a message to the world: those fighting rare diseases are every bit as strong, resilient, and extraordinary.
